The Nestle Toque d'Or
The Nestle Toque d'Or is New Zealand's premier student chef competition. Each year 12 tertiary training establishments are invited to compete. Teams of three students; two cookery and one restaurant service, prepare, cook and serve six covers of a three-course meal.
Competitors use New Zealand grown vegetables in their meals. This competition is now in its 20th year and has provided a great kick-start to the careers of the competitors.
