Vegetables on French sticks
Aioli is a delicious mayonnaise made with garlic. Keep some aioli in the refrigerator; it can be used as a dip with vegetable sticks.
1 French stick
1½ cup aioli [see Aioli and vegetables for the recipe]
12 slices cheese
¼ telegraph cucumber, sliced
2 tomatoes, sliced
1-2 cups sliced lettuce
1 red onion, peeled and sliced
Slice the French stick in half.
Spread both inside surfaces with aioli.
Layer with cheese, cucumber, tomato, red onion and lettuce.
Drizzle with more aioli, slice into four pieces and serve.
