Artichokes and olive oil
Globe artichokes are delicious served with extra virgin olive oil.
I large globe artichoke
¼-½ cup extra virgin olive oil
Trim the artichoke stem back to 2 cm.
Place the artichoke in a large saucepan of boiling water and boil for about 15 minutes or until a skewer slips easily through the middle.
Remove from the saucepan, slice off the stem and serve with the oil.
