Charred leeks and cabbage with mustard seeds
A quick and tasty dish idea to serve with grilled chicken or meat.
1 Tbsp canola oil
2 tsp black mustard seeds
2 leeks, thinly sliced
3 cups finely sliced cabbage
white pepper, to taste
1 tsp lemon juice
Heat oil in a heavy based frying pan.
Add mustard seeds and cook until they pop.
Add leeks and stir fry for about 5 minutes until softened.
Add cabbage, stir and continue cooking for about 4 minutes.
Season to taste.
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve.
Variation: Add ½ cup crème fraiche with the lemon juice.
