Steamed broccoli florets and halved Brussels sprouts
Add colour to the table with this trio of tasty salads.
1 head broccoli, sliced into florets
8 Brussels sprouts, halved
Choose a saucepan with a steamer. Half fill the saucepan with water and bring to the boil.
Place broccoli and Brussels sprouts in the steamer making sure they do not touch the water. Cover and adjust the heat to a steady simmer. Cook until they are tender. Add more boiling water if necessary.
Remove vegetables from steamer, place in a bowl and serve.
