BLOG NEWS: Judges’ Panel full of talent

The Judges’ Panel for the 2013 City & Guilds Training Team of the Year is full of talent!

On Sunday –18th August, 2013, Training Teams competing for the City & Guilds Training Team of the Year title and a prize package worth $7000 prepared, cooked and served six covers of a three course meal under the watchful eye of great Industry talent.

The Culinary Judges were:

  • Adrian Brett-Chinnery, Group Development Chef, Tanoa Hotels, Fiji
  • Alan Brown, Chef-tutor, AUT and the first New Zealander to be awarded the Medal in Culinary Arts from City & Guilds, London
  • Glenn Fulcher, Pacific Manager of City & Guilds of London
  • Glenn Goughey, Executive Chef, Brentwood Hotel, Wellington and President of NZ Chefs Association’s Wellington Branch
  • Marc Soper, Chef de Cuisine, Wellesley Boutique Hotel, Wellington
  • Michael Van de Elzen, Chef, The Food Truck on TVNZ One
The experienced Restaurant Service Judges were:
  • Angela DeJong, Consultant, Auckland
  • Eileen Marshall, Consultant, Taranaki
  • John Snowball, Spotless Services, Dunedin
Vegetables.co.nz food service consultant, Pip Duncan, said ‘We really appreciate the time and expertise this group of talented Judges is providing for this competition’.
