Hospitality power players launch CADT

L-R Pip Duncan, Glenn Fulcher, Cherie Freeman

The dynamic trio of Cherie Freeman, Dean of Consumer Services, Manukau Institute of Technology, Glenn Fulcher, Regional Manager Pacific, City & Guilds, and Food Consultant, Pip Duncan, have launched the Culinary Arts Development Trust (CADT).

This charitable Trust will promote, encourage and foster New Zealand Culinary Arts as a profession, and develop industry pathways through culinary competitions. The Trust will organise, promote and oversee a range of competitions and events pertaining to the hospitality industry. The Trust will also be undertaking the challenge of supporting community awareness of healthy eating and nutrition through local council, government, and organisation activities.

The Culinary Arts Development Trust is already involved in two popular competitions – the National Secondary Schools Challenge (NSSCC) with 10 regional events and a grand final in Auckland, and the New Zealand Team Skills at the New Zealand Chefs’ Salon in conjunction with the Auckland Food Show 2015.
