at the NZGFW Market Day stand

Market day stand had a stand at the New Zealand Guild of Food Writers Market Day to promote Fresh New Zealand grown vegetables to this influential group. Features on our stand included two Brussels sprouts plants [kindly supplied by Murray Turner] and had tastings of Black garlic [kindly supplied by Marlborough Garlic].

New Zealand-made black garlic is becoming increasingly available. It is cured or fermented garlic bulbs which have undergone prolonged cooking. Try the flesh squeezed from the bulb and spread on plain crackers – great for tapas and antipasto plates.
