Roasted miso broccoli with spring onions

Popular with kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

Serves 4

1 broccoli, cut into florets
1 clove garlic, minced or finely chopped
2 tbsp white miso paste
2 tsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce (salt reduced)
1 tbsp canola oil
1 tsp sesame oil
2 spring onions, finely sliced
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C (fan assisted).
In a large mixing bowl, mix together miso paste, garlic, soy sauce, canola oil, sesame oil, and honey.
Add the broccoli florets and toss until broccoli is well coated.
Place broccoli evenly in single layer onto a baking tray. Season with cracked pepper.
Roast the broccoli in oven for 20-25 minutes. Or until the edges are browned, but not burnt.
Remove from oven and garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds if using.

NOTES:
Sesame seeds can be lightly toasted in a frying pan for greater flavour.
Honey can be replaced with maple syrup if preferred.
