Health

The Ministry of Health recommends most New Zealanders eat five or more servings of vegetables every day.

Vegetables are packed full of nutrients, phytonutrients (that give their bright vibrant colours and bring further benefits) and lots of dietary fibre. They help full us up with goodness. Aim to have half your dinner plate full of vegetables and few others throughout the day.

Vegetables.co.nz promotional material is based on this government recommendation. All vegetables are included in this recommendation. Fresh is great but frozen and canned count too.
