Braised spiced celery with spinach
Adding spices to this dish adds to the great taste of celery.
1 Tbsp canola oil
2 shallots, peeled and chopped
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp minced ginger
½ red chilli, deseeded and chopped
¼ tsp ground turmeric
2 bunches spinach leaves, chopped
Heat the oil in a heavy-based pan.
Add shallots, celery, cumin, coriander, ginger, chilli and turmeric.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until celery is just tender.
Add spinach and heat through.
